Why Ironhide had to die?

I was very upset about the death of Ironhide. Dude was totally melted. Sentinel is a damn traitor. Sentinel claimed that he just wanted to save Cybertron. He didn't have to kill Ironhide.

Ironhide dies for the same reason Jazz died in the first one. Ironhide was based off the GMC Topkick truck which has been discontinued by GM.
Jazz was based off the Pontiac Solstice which was also a discontinued model.
the only GM vehicles that remain in the movies are those that are based on current production models or concept vehicles.
any other vehicle that has been discontinued by GM will be discontinued in the Transformer Movie Franchises. There was even a statement to this effect by GM after the release of Transformers I.

Yes. He was killed by Sentinel Prime with an acid rust gun. Two Autobots die in the movie. Ironhide and Que (aka Wheeljack). In the novelization, Ironhide, Wheeljack, Mirage, Mudflap and Skids (the Twins made the book but not the movie?!) all were killed. According to the comic book prequel, markers of the Twins' graves as well as Elita One were shown.

Yeah. Right after Sentinel Prime swtiched sides to the Decepticons, he executed Ironhide because he thought that he was a threat to his side. R.I.P.

Sentinel had to kill him cuz he was gonna steal the teleport thing and ironhide and bumblebee would stop him ironhide was to close witch is why he killed him he would of killed bumblebee but he got away
