唔小心把harddisk format o左

I have such experience before when the technician visited my home has made a serious mistake by formatting the whole hard-disk. I want to share what we can do here.

First, you can search online Data Recovery software to scan the whole hard-disk and reload the formatted data. One such software is called Magic Recovery Professional ( latest version is 3.5 ). You can download its trial version and scan the whole machine once following its instructions.

If you machine has suffered "ONE" format only, instead of re-formatting the hardware, the chance of data recovery is still optimistic.

Nevertheless, it does not mean 100% data could be saved. This is a sad news I would to disclose with you. For such type of software, you can load probably one-third of whole data set ( excluding the Windows system files ) and the file names would be strange that you need to re-name them one by one. It is a very time consuming process. And the files may be scanned and loaded in different directories compared before, and it increases your complexity in searching and classifying data.

If these online software cannot offer much help, you can contact some large Computer Maintenance companies ( not those small-scaled retailers ). They have some extremely professional software that even the machine was formatted twice or more, they can still load the files as original conditions. However, the cost is very high ( say HKD 4,000 per order ) and the time of loading will be also high.

Yes you can recover the data from the Hard Drive but you need to get the data recovery software full version. You can buy online some software like iData Recovery and Ontrack Data Recovery.
