My phone has the option to downgrade megapixels, whats better?

It says under resolution
5m 2560 X 1920
3m 2048 X 1536
2m 1600 X 1200
0.3m 640 X 480
w4m 2560 X 1536
400 X 240

Which one is the best quality, and what's the difference, because I took a picture with the 5m and the 0.3 and they looked the same.
Thank you!

you have to have the right lighting in order to see the difference..5m would have more detail and less blurs..while .3 is...not very good :/
just stick with 5m and you'll see how good it is :)

Mmm usually I would say the most megapixels on offer, but that is within certain limitations. If you know the brand and model number of the camera [something like Buffy LZ103] then you can google it and find the SENSOR RESOLUTION.

See some cameras in the past used interpolation/upsampling to sell a 2Mpixel camera as a 5. So not always the highest MP setting is the right one. Find out the technical details of your camera what your camera is build to handle. Not what it can do through software.

Then use that setting and you get the best result :)

Only the sizes difference, 5m has the best quality.
