please 同kindly其實意思相同，不宜並用，英文學者古德明先生，就有以下的建議和分析

我 最 近 在 公 函 寫 了 以 下 一 句 ： Kindly please send me the quotation （ 請 把 報 價 單 擲 下 ） 。 但 上 司 說 kindly 、 please 都 是 「 請 」 的 意 思 ， 不 應 並 用 ， 宜 只 用 其 一 。 Kindly please 這 說 法 究 竟 對 不 對 ？

請 先 看 J Harold Janis 的 Modern Business Language and Usage in Dictionary Form kindly 條 下 注 釋 ： A stilted synonym for "please" （ 和 please 同 義 而 語 氣 生 硬 ） 。

又 請 看 Harry Shaw 的 Dictionary of Problem Words and Expressions kindly, please 條 下 注 釋 ： In a statement such as "Kindly answer my letter soon," one with equal correctness and propriety could write "Please answer..." 換 言 之 ， 要 說 「 請 及 早 賜 覆 」 ， 以 上 兩 個 說 法 同 樣 正 確 、 有 禮 。 所 以 ， Harry Shaw 說 二 字 可 任 擇 其 一 ： Take your pick 。 不 過 ， 他 也 指 出 ： "Kindly" seems to some people to carry an air of affectation and smugness （ 有 人 認 為 kindly 一 字 顯 得 造 作 、 自 滿 ） 。
