It kind of depends on how you look in that apron.
No woman thinks a man who can cook is sissy. And really, only a bullying man would ever tease a fellow man for being able to cook-- it would probably be a jealous man, really. In fact, the vast majority of professional chefs are male.
Do YOU think cooking men are sissies? This is such a bizarre question, not a commonplace thought at all, so it leads one to assume that you're asking because you think cooking men are sissies. Why does it matter so much to you? Do what you like and ignore judgmental ones.
Lord no! Guys who can cook kick the crap out of guys that don't! Cooking is sexy!
Now, if you're getting obsessive and making fancy things that take hours to cook and presenting them absolutely perfectly, that's a little weird. Wouldn't call it sissy, but kind of weird.
Of course not. It's sexy for a man to be a good cook. Chef Gordon Ramsay strikes me as anything but "sissy."
Guys who can cook are not considered a sissy, unless it is by another guy who is insecure with his own manliness. Women appreciate men who can cook. And if you turn to any of the cooking channels, Top Chef, etc shows you will see an overwhelming number of men who are chefs.
Emeril, Gordon Ramsey, Wolfgang Puck, Bobby Flay, Guy Fieri...these are just a few men who are actually making millions with their cooking.
Not at all. Girls like it if a guy can cook. Contrary to popular belief, we don't always ENJOY cooking and doing laundry all day. I mean, cooking cakes and stuff every day is a bit different, but still alright. If you're a guy who is a good cook, you can make lots of girls happy.
Is Gordon Ramsey a sissy? Is Thomas Keller a sissy? Was James Beard a sissy? Is Jamie Oliver a sissy? Hell no.
A lot of guys are excellent cooks. My husband is outside at the barbque right now getting ready to put a Tri Tip on. He made blueberry muffins this morning and ice cream with blueberry sauce from scratch. My 22 year old son cooks too (pizza from scratch, bread, cookies, teriyaki steak from scratch)
Um, wow NO. Sure traditionally women were the ones to cook for the home, but did you know that men were all there was cooking in restaurants? That's all there were, male chefs. Men have to eat too, so why can't they cook their own food? It's normal.
I was a chef for close to 30years, I have cooked since high school in the 1970's, if you are a bachelor and want to survive, most women find it a good trait for husband who can cook a bit, I happen to look like a walking autopsy so I stayed single.
I don't think guys who cook are sissies. I think that's actually a good trait to have.
