proof of inverse function rule (urgent)?

Can some1 show me the proof of inverse function rule, dy/dx = 1 / (dx/dy) ?

Let y=f(x) and the inverse function be x=g(y). Then y=f(g(y)) and by the chain rule
dy/dy = f' g' and so, as dy/dy=1, f' = 1/ g' or dy/dx = 1 / (dx/dy)
