Relative clause which,where

要決定用which/when, 就要視乎先行詞在從句中的色色.所謂先行詞, 就是被which/when 替代了的詞, 上面的例句中, 先行詞是 shopwhich 是關係代詞, 在從句中它相當於一個名詞一樣.where 是關係副詞, 在從句中它相當於一個副詞一樣.
第一句的從句: ... where a personal delivery is offered to customers. 如果把它寫成一個獨立句子, 就是A personal delivery is offered to customers in the shop .由此可見, 先行詞不是主語或賓語, 而是參與在一個介詞短語中, 功用相當於一個副詞用來說明地點.所以應該使用關係副詞..第二句的從句: ... which was located in Tsing Yi. 如果把它寫成一個獨立句子, 就是 The shop was located in Tsing Yi.由此可見, 先行詞不是主語, 由於英語語法中的主語須為名詞(相當於名詞的詞組)所以應該使用關係代詞..英語表示動作的地點/位置 常以介詞短語或副詞來表示, 例如
We play ball games there.
Jack went home (這裡它是一個副詞)
She is sitting on the chair.
They ride bicycles along that street.關係從句中的when/where等關係副詞, 很多時都可以改寫以 介詞+which.This is the place where (= in which) she lived.Sunday is the day when (= on which) few people go to work.

Today,i went to a gift shop which personsal deilvery is offered to customers. (which = the shop)

Today,i went to a gift shop WHERE I can buy lots of fansy gift.

(where = at this place)

Karen took her cat to the pet shop WHICH is located in Tsing Yi

(which - the shop)
