Travel increases one's knowledge of the world. 旅遊增進人對世界的了解。

呢句野點解係用increase 唔係用boost?

increase 是解作量,體積,數目.etc 上面的增加 (大多都係指數目上)
而
boost 是解作增強(某事)力量,促進(某事/人) 提高度(某事)的價值?

我想問呢句野點解用increase唔係用boost..增進了解不是用boost麼?

咁boost同increase有咩分別?

BOOST- to increase or improve something and make it more successful, better: 推進,提高,捧場,促進,推銷, 激勵, 向上一推
例如: boost 金錢,生意,業務,經濟或者 boost 信心,士氣,名聲

boost to increase sales, profits, production etc, especially when they have been lower than you want them to be
boost confidence, morale, ego
boost economy, growth, investment, value, sales, profit

INCREASE - to become larger in number, amount, or degree.增長,增多,增加.
Increase 應用比較廣

有些字用 increase 或 boost 都可以, 但是知識,學問是用 increase. 因為over a longer period of time, 慢慢增長, 漸進地

boost相似打強心針,俗話“谷谷”,很多時一次過,大事宣傳,激勵,比較急進
