There are 80 junior employees at DBA Company with the following breakdown:

Highest Qualification Male Femeale

Degree holder 10 20
HD holder 17 18
Others 8 7

What is the probavility that:
1.the employees is a female?
2.the employees is a female and a degree holder?
3.the employees is a degree holder, given that a female is selected?
4.the employees is either a male or a HD holder?
5.the employees is neither a male nor a HD holder?

1 P(employees is a female) = (20 + 18 + 7)/80 = 45/80 = 9/16

2 P(employees is a female and a degree holder) = 20/80 = 1/4

3 P(employees is a degree holder | female) = (1/4)/(9/16) = 16/36 = 4/9

4 P(either a male or a HD holder) = (35 + 18)/80 = 53/80

5 P(neither a male nor a HD holder) = 1 - 53/80 = 27/80
