嚟句句子喺BCC上某篇新聞嘅其中一段，而佢喺用were.

2. "He said a quarter was out to create confusion over RAB's action"

嚟句喺Bangladesh News 某篇新聞嘅其中一段。

一個喺用was,一個用were，咁邊個先喺岩？

論對錯，基本上a quarter應該跟is或was。 BBC果句若理解成：For the first time, its research also looked at the age of abusers and found a quarter of the abusers were aged under 18.亦無不可。句中沒寫“of the abusers”，一般人亦會這樣去理解，而不產生任何含混，可以接受。
