1. write the partial fraction decomposition of the rational expression
6x/(x+4)(x-2)
6x/(x+4)(x-2) = A/(x +4) + B/(x-2)
6x/(x+4)(x-2) = [A(x-2) + B(x+4)]/(x +4)(x-2)
6x/(x+4)(x-2) = [Ax+ Bx-2A+ 4B]/(x +4)(x-2)
6x/(x+4)(x-2) = [(A+ B)x+ (4B -2A)]/(x +4)(x-2)
A+B = 6
4B – 2A= 0
A = 2B
2B+B = 6
B = 2, A = 4
6x/(x+4)(x-2) = 4/(x +4) + 2/(x-2)

2. evaluate the summation

=1/(2+5) +1/(3+5) +1/(4+5) + 1/(5+5)
