As a Greek, I might be a liiitle too biased to express my opinion but since you asked in the Greek travel section here is my 2 cents:
Greeks in general are known for being very hospitable, generous, honest and friendly. Period
As for the opinion of the above lady with the objectionable nick "Turkish cup of coffee" I disagree as a knee jerk reaction in any opinion she expresses in general, but in this case I disagree in her twisted general opinion she expresses for Greeks. I wonder why she still bothers to visit her father's island every so often and make an appearance here too.....
In her statement she mentions a Greek gentleman who sends her "flowers and chocolate but wants something in return" Really?????
Excuse me, but isn't this true for any gentleman in the planet who consistently sends presents to a lady to expect something in return? If the said lady thinks the gifts have another purpose different from what she initially thought (what was it she thought anyway?) that lady in discussion should wrap up all the gifts in a single pack and return to the sender with a small note that she does not intent to return the favor, therefore gift is not accepted
But if she kept the gifts playing "dumb" (even though she prefers to play "smart" in here) the above mentioned lady deserves her "bad luck" and "bad treatment" by the Greek gentleman
I am sure if she makes herself clear to the forementioned rude Greek gentleman that is not interested he will throw his attention to another more appreciative lady and we'll all live happily ever after
As for her comment to "keep them in safe distance as they become too possessive once you open the door" I find it at least insulting, tasteless and rude.
But then again is in tune with what this lady is ranting about all along in GTS; so what else is new
