If Chinese economy is booming and opportunities are plentiful, why Chinese prostitutes operate in South Africa?

I have watched CCTV program talking about how police busted prostitution. The market price of prostitution in the China has dropped down to less than 40 RMB per service plus the fact that one- night- stand with strangers, rape crimes and the influx of prostitutes are so common that prostitutes find it very hard to make a living under that conditions.

Probably that forces Chinese prostitutes to go to South Africa to test their luck.

Because China doesn't have innovations for the last century. Japan has provided great inventions and innovations, constantly searching new ways to make new things and build better future, thanks to Japanese inventions, they don't have to make fake products and counterfeit items. Female prostitutes in China could be deployed to South Africa because they were doubling as spies, or maybe they are just bored. Who could blame them.

Chinese economy is booming but only the rich gets richer and most poor people lack opportunities to get out of poverty. The factory owners are making billions a year and an factory work only makes an average of $1000RMB ($150USD) a month. Let alone the farmers who are making 10 times less. (In one area in China, the Chinese government took away the farmers' land to build apartments to make profit, they only compensated very very little to the farmers and when the farmers refused, they got pressured and threatened. I watched it on TV so I don't have reference for this incident.)

Sad things like this happen to poor Chinese everyday. It is definitely the government's problem, the government is very ignorant and does not care for their citizens at all. All they care is face, look at Beijing Olympics, they spend billions and all they wanted to do was show off. If they are willing to spend some money on helping the poor with education, health care, housing etc. The country would be even stronger.

In the above website, it says the women were promised $50000Rand a month, which is $7000 USD. If that was true, they only needed to work a few years to get out of poverty.

Of course the women can get married, but how many wealthy Chinese men are there in China? Most poor women marry poor men, they are still poor. While the wealthy men can choose actresses, models, or other educated good looking women, would they go down to the farms and pick out their wives?

The poor Chinese women don't have choices, the government won't allow them. It is their destiny.

Just spreading the "love"
Think about it, why make money in one place, when you can make more by hitting every country they can go to. It's like business, you expand, for better opportunities.

There 2 major reasons :

1) Prostitution is said to be the oldest form of " profession " that has existed since the beginning of the universe. It has nothing to do with economy.

2) Generally speaking, women or men who work in this profession tend to look for quick and easy income, even if there are plenty of jobs available on the job market. Everyone hopes to get quick and easy money, but not everyone is as desperate as them.

Are you sure that there were/are no prostitution in the usa and japan which rank the largest and 3rd largest economy of the world ? Ask them why prostitution has been so prosperous in their country, if you want to get a answer.
