Will I have been trying to find a lawyer in Texas to sue my landlord for slander, defamation of character, emotional mental health. But that is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. No one wants a care like that. She is 86 years old. She tells each tenant here on in park at different times when we have seen her. ( like pay rent or just to say hello) that the guy in 1 she is waiting for him to kill his wife and child, she has told others that i have beaten her with her cane, stolen from her, she told me to my face my child is a slut. The list can go on and on. You may asked the question why don't you just move.. That is easy-er said then done. So the question is can i get a newspaper and and make it public known what she is about since I can't get the law behind me or others here in the park?

What you are speaking of is an UNTRUTH. Slander is spoken and libel is written, but otherwise the exact same thing. Any lawyer will write up a petition to the court regarding slander and libel. I do not know where you got THAT idea that they won't. All it takes is for you to PAY them. There is honor at stake here. NO decent lawyer is going to file a "frivolous" case simply because they CAN which is why you are finding it so hard to find one. It is likely your case has no merit or standing. NO ONE wants to risk getting slapped down by the court for abusing the power of the system! AND, THAT is what MOST slander and libel cases ARE... he said, she said, and then the hard part, showing INTENT to cause HARM. No self-respecting lawyer is going to file a petition with the court for a case without merit.

What good is it going to do having a bunch of random newspaper readers know your landlord would seem to have senile dementia? Suing her is not going to fly because her defence would be, she's 86 what can you do?-which any reasonable person would accept.
