MATH: How is the scalar projection negative?

2011-05-13 11:41 pm
So I had two vectors.
A(-1, 2, -5) and B(1, 0, 0).

So I found the scalar projection of A on B, and ended up with -1, and the answer key actually agrees!

How is this possible? I am lost.
更新1:

como what you did was the dot product, I am asking how the scalar is negative.

range of cos is -1 to +1
so, it depends on its domain (theta), that determines the sign

Astral projection is in user-friendly terms a hallucination. you may sense soreness by way of certainty that each and every of the senses (which contain touch) are being fooled in the process a hallucination. a lot of people have faith astral projection is an quite actual experience, yet there's no info of that.

a = - i + 2 j - 5 k
b = i

a • b = ( - i + 2 j - 5 k ) ( i )

a • b = - i ² = - (-1) = 1
