Hydrocarbon as functional group?

A(n)_______________ contains a hydrocarbon, rather than hydrogen, in its functional group.

I can't figure out the answer.

well, alkane, alkene or alkyene are hydrocarbon functional groups, the only difference is the amount of bonds in them. not to sure if that's the correct answer though

RE: Hydrocarbon - communities/useful communities? in basic terms began organic and organic Chem so i became finding for somebody to grant a solid harm down of Hydrocarbons. Hydrocarbons are broken into communities like Alkane, Alkyle. and then i think of you may do away with a hydrogen and upload yet another team? Can anybody clarify or provide some solid websites?
