Why does sheer pantyhose break so easily?

because they're sheer...ie: thin.

Because they're made from a thinner fabric which gives them that sheer look but also makes they easier to get runs and ladders.

Because of how thin they are. But also the pantyhose company like that they "run" so easily so we have to keep buying more pairs all the time.

they are thin, sheer, fabric with a looped together stitching. Thus when a strand breaks by too much expansion (pulling) or abrasion (hitting on something) the thread unravels and causes a "run".

They create such a wonderful affect much like make-up for the legs, and for such a low price, it is worth it in my opinion.
