If you have criminal record (Theft), can you be a cost / management accountant?

I know that I can't be a CPA if I have a criminal record (Theft). But I'm not sure if I can be a CMA (cost / management accountant)?

I am ACMA and the answer would be no. You can probably sit the exams and so on by hiding the truth, but if it ever comes out you would be thrown out and fired from your job most likely.
