Will seed grow in oil or coke?

they cant grow
normally we need water to germinate seeds

water can make seed coat become soft
water can turn on genes on aleurone layer to produce enzymes like amylase to hydrolyze starch(food storage) to simple sugars
water is essential for hydrolysis of starch

but it's known that oil can isolate water efficiently
so water cant enter the seed coat and support changes in seed coat
