Can you be an ACCA accountant if you have criminal record outside UK?

I was stupid when I was young and I committed the terrible crime of stealing (or theft). As a result, I had criminal record but it was outside UK. Will I still be able to become an ACCA accountant?

This is a complicated question which you should put to a solicitor in the UK. The answer may depend on the country where the theft was committed and your age at the time of the theft.
