Good question...When you see arch angels they tell people who fall down before them do not do that we are fellow servants; likewise Paul In Acts 14 11 Now when the people saw what Paul had done, they raised their voices, saying in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!” 12 And Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he was the chief speaker. 13 Then the priest of Zeus, whose temple was in front of their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, intending to sacrifice with the multitudes.
14 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard this, they tore their clothes and ran in among the multitude, crying out 15 and saying, “Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men with the same nature as you, and preach to you that you should turn from these useless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that are in them, 16 who in bygone generations allowed all nations to walk in their own ways. 17 Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.” 18 And with these sayings they could scarcely restrain the multitudes from sacrificing to them.

At fatima Mary claims Jesus her son desired to honor her and she was preceded by an angel of light which the children saw. The bible warns For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

I am not slamming Mary; These apparitions are deceptive and not her.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

Jesus came according to the prophets and claimed even his words were not his own but came from the father. Every aspect of jesus life was prophesied. Nothing about the appearances of Mary is according to prophecy that it might be tested. In fact some of her ideas contradict the teachings of the bible. She promises world peace when everyone prays the rosary and Jesus said to look for wars and rumors of wars...and warned that when they say peace and safety then sudden destruction comes upon them.

If I am wrong and I have brought all my prayer praise and worship to Jesus I have lost nothing and missed out on no blessing. But if I am right you are bowing down to something other than God and breaking the 1st commandment. I stand on 1 Tim 2:5 For [there is] one God and one Mediator between God and men, [the] Man Christ Jesus,

Same reason we ask Saints to intercede:
Catholics ask the Saints to intercede in prayer for us, much in the same way that you would ask another Christian to pray for you. Catholics believe that the prayers of a rightous person have much more influence (with Jesus) than that of a non-righteous person. In a sense of calling your father to ask permission to go somewhere, only to have your mother/sister answer the phone. Knowing full well that you would need your father’s permission, they in turn would go ask him for you. Scripturally speaking, the saints are not only not dead, but living in the presence of Jesus and God.

Mk 12:26-27 ... "not God of the dead, but of the living."
Jn 15:1-8 ... vine and its branches.
1 Cor 12:25-27; Rom 12:4-5 ... body of Christ.
Eph 6:18; Rom 15:30; Col 4:3; 1 Thess 1:11 ... intercessory prayer.
Jos 5:14; Dan 8:17; Tob 12:16 ... veneration of angels united with God (Mt 18:10).
1 Cor 13:12; 1 John 3:2 ... saints also united with God.
Lk 20-34-38 ... those who died are like angels.
2 Mac 15:11-16 ... deceased Onias and Jeremiah interceded for Jews.
Rev 8:3-4; Jer 15:1 ... saints' intercession.

As well as the FATCS:
GOD personally chose Mary over every woman to birth, nurse, nurture and teach Jesus, God in the flesh
JESUS made the choice to listen to Mary over God at the wedding at Cana
JESUS at the end of His life before He saved the world He made sure to entrust Mary's care to John
God made the choice to bring Mary into the picture, Jesus made the choice to keep Mary in the picture. Mary was God's vehicle to bring Jesus safely to us. Mary is the perfect example of a Christian - doing everything God asks and graciously. Catholic ARE taught the reality though that.... without Jesus, Mary is just another good Jewish girl :)

When Mary & Joseph presented Jesus she was told -- your soul too a sword shall pierce and the thoughts of many hearts will be known/revealed. Jesus was pierced at the end on the cross. any mother can tell you - when you child hurts, you hurt. Mary and Jesus had a connection. Revelation tells us that there are Saints in heaven already -- i believe Mary is there and that sometimes, I need her intercession/help - just like God did, just like Jesus did and that hopefully, like at the wedding, Jesus will say - okay Ma, I'll do it ;)

Yes, God's Word clearly says that Christians pray for one another, and that they request prayers from other Christians. Mary is a fellow Christian, as are the other saints in heaven. We know they are alive and well because Christ said "those who follow me will never die". Therefore, asking another Christian, whether on earth or in heaven, to pray for us is entirely scriptural. Especially since the Bible (Rev 5:8) describes those before the throne of God presenting our prayers to Him.

I'm always puzzled at the number of Protestant churches that pray the Apostles' Creed as a statement of their basic Christian beliefs, yet have no idea what "the communion of saints" means. It refers to the interaction between the saints in heaven and the saints on earth.

Any prayer to the Mother of God only asks her to pray for us.
And yes, the Hail Mary is certainly based in Scripture. See Luke 1:42

The Bible directs us to invoke those in heaven and ask them to pray with us.

Thus in Psalm 103, we pray, "Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the voice of his word! Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will!" (Ps. 103:20-21). And in Psalm 148 we pray, "Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his host!" (Ps. 148:1-2)

Not only do those in heaven pray with us, they also pray for us. In Revelation, John sees that "the twenty-four elders [the leaders of the people of God in heaven] fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints" (Rev. 5:8). Thus the saints in heaven offer to God the prayers of the saints on earth.

Angels do the same thing: "[An] angel came and stood at the altar [in heaven] with a golden censer; and he was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne; and the smoke of the incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God" (Rev. 8:3-4).

Furthermore, Catholic Christians do not differentiate between the living (in this world) and the dead (those who departed) members of the Body of Christ (the fullness of the Church.) The fullness of the mystical Body of Christ is found in the union of all the saints, past and present, here below and those above in Heaven.

In view of the aforementioned, it cannot be denied that those who were called to Heaven, including Mary, are still alive in spirit in the Kingdom of God that coexists with our world. As some non-Catholics pray through their deceased parents, grandparents or other biological relatives, asking these beloved departed persons to intercede before God on their behalf, Catholics pray through Mary to Jesus, taking advantage of her blessed position as the Mother of God.

This Catholic action affirms the prophetic and Divinely inspired passage that is found in the Holy Bible where it states, "Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed." [Lk. 1:47] All generations could not call Mary blessed if she was not actively involved in the progressive Divine Plan that continues to develop before our eyes.

Is this found in the Bible? I have a better question for you - where is the list of books that should be included in the Bible found in the Bible?

The answer is nowhere. You have the Catholic Church to thank for setting the Canon of Scripture and preserving it. We'll handle all theological teaching for you, thank you very much :)

We believe that Mary intercedes to God for us. It is much like asking someone one earth to pray for you.
At the Wedding in Canaan, Mary asked Jesus to do something, and although he said it was not his time, he preformed a miracle.
When Jesus was on the cross, he told John to take care of Mary, by telling him this, Jesus was giving Mary not only to John, but to all Christians.

Yes, we pray to St Mary as if there is no tomorrow. Psalms 148 of the bible says so.

a] Psalms 148:
A hymn inviting the beings of heaven (Psalm 148:1-6) and of earth (Psalm 148:7-14) to praise God. The hymn does not distinguish between inanimate and animate (and rational) nature.
Psalms 148;1 Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from the heavens; give praise in the heights.
2 Praise him, all you angels; give praise, all you hosts.
3 Praise him, sun and moon; give praise, all shining stars.
4 Praise him, highest heavens, you waters above the heavens.
5 Let them all praise the LORD'S name; for the LORD commanded and they were created,
6 Assigned them duties forever, gave them tasks that will never change.

b] Rev 8:3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.

No doubt it is profitable to pray to the Mother of God.

i am unauthorized to answer this question, and it is a very deep subject. but jesus honored his mother mary when she wanted a miricle ....water into wine...
when he was on the cross he made sure she had someone to care for her before he left...mother this is your son , son this is your mother...
i am unauthorized to aswer this question, but i will say never talk bad about her, jesus loved her and honored his mother.
remember jesus is god and he honored her.

so even if you don't understand, and i can't explain it to you,
the wisdom of the catholic church can.
so look for your answer there.

human beings such as you're making it very complicated for those people who're Catholic Christians to maintain any civility in any respect in direction of our Protestant brothers and sisters in Christ. We answer those comparable questions repeatedly returned, and no person ever bothers to lookup our responses, no count number what number cases that little "we've got here across comparable questions" on the spot pops up as you're typing the identify. the fast answer to your question: we don't pray *to* Mary. We ask her to desire for us, basically as you ask a chum or kinfolk member to desire for you. She's alive in Heaven, alongside with the different believer, and she or he will pray for our desires from the viewpoint of a loving mom. it rather is not any longer our fault which you don't understand the distinction between a mediator and an intercessor. A mediator settles a dispute between 2 events, basically as Jesus mediated contained in the dispute between sinful guy and a holy God. An intercessor places in a stable be conscious for somebody else with an expert parent, this is exactly what happens as quickly as we ask every physique, everywhere, at any time to desire for us. ok, there that's -- the umpteenth time that i've got typed those very comparable words. little doubt you will supply terrific answer to considered one of your Catholic-hating cronies and their "Ain't them Catholics awful!" settlement with you. i do no longer anticipate you to pay attention, much less believe what all the Catholics right here ought to assert because of the fact is outwardly previous your skill. And as quickly as returned, throughout the time of the means of the Holy Spirit, maximum persons Catholics controlled to be civil and extremely polite contained in the face of rampant Protestant conceitedness and lack of understanding. 2 factors for the Catholic group.
