A BRIEF self-introduction should include your name, age, name of your current school, number of persons in your family, not background , (e.g. I live with my parents, 1 brother and 1 sister etc.) , your favourite hobby in your spare time.
For Medicine, you should only include family background if your have relatives who work in the medical profession e.g. my brother is a doctor, or my mother is a midwife etc.
