Why would he be? The Royal Family have nothing to do with an American president. The only political figures invited were the UK ones. It was *not* a political occasion.

Apparently because the security costs would have been prohibitively high. Also, only 40 national leaders from around the world were invited, so he was not alone.

He was not invited because when he gained office he refused to go through with several rituals the president typically undergoes with our allies (mainly he snubbed england). The president of france was invited, hes pretty busy these days too. Obama was not just "too busy" as butthurt liberals will tell you, he was snubbed back. Obama has disrespected our traditional allies in favour of allies who will not have ANY power when the oil bubble bursts. We should be focusing on relations with China, Japan England Canada and India and Obama chooses to focus on countries like Saudi Arabia Egypt and Pakistan...

supposedly it was because will isn't first in line 2 the crown so it was more like a celeb wedding th an a royal one and if he was first in line obama would have.

Yesterday I heard that since their wedding was smaller than Charles & Diana's, they only had room to invite only actual crowned heads of state (or something like that). Nancy Reagan represented the U.S. at the 1981 nuptials.
