I liked this guy for a while and my friend wants me to be happy so she messaged him saying you 2 should go out you would be cute together (something like that, I didn't know until after..and he doesn't know I know this).
So he answered "I want to get to know her first"

Find things that you both enjoy doing and hang out together. Don't plan out everything. Just talk as if you two are normal friends and it will take off from there.
