Let the bigger be xthe smaller be y
x+y =90-----[1]
x-y =44------[2]
From [2],
y=x-44---[3]
Put [3] into [1]
x+ (x-44) =90
x+x-44=90
2x=134
x=67

x - y = 44 --(2)
Then, (1) - (2),
2y = 46
y = 23
Sub. y=23 into (1)
