Which country has the best Police Services and best Fire Department?

Fire Department, I would also say America. Not because I live here. We do have a number of wild fires, but we also tend to be very into equipment and have invented a number of fire fighting innovations.

As far as police go, my general impression is the Canadians have the best. I hear what you are saying, and I'll give you the strict training, though I think Canadians also have similar training. Your point about the guns, however, is a common misnomer. Yes, the local Bobby doesn't carry a gun. He doesn't have to. He has a radio, and on the other end of that radio is a guy in an Aston Martin sports car with an assault rifle (fully automatic, etc.). Mess with the Bobby and he'll call for backup, and that backup, will get there quickly and is much better armed than most police in the world. This notion of the police being unarmed is quaint, but not as true as we'd like to believe.

I don't think the USA has the best fire department.... its not like the movies. A good majority of our fireman are volunteers. Also America has one of the worst police services out of all modern countries. Makes no sense to even say that.

I'm from the USA and our coppers and firefighters are arrogant jerks... I believe the UK has the best Constabularies, Fire Services, and Ambulance Services... I'm moving to the UK in about 4-5 years and proud to say...
