If I upgrade my video card, will Windows 7 recognize my PC as the same computer?
Maybe I'm thinking too much but I have Windows 7 retail version (i.e. bought from store). I heard that you can't install Windows 7 on more than one computer. I'm thinking about upgrading my video card (from Nvidia GeForce 8400GS to ATI Radeon HD 4650). If I reinstall Windows 7 on the same computer BUT after I upgrade my video card, will Windows 7 refuse to install because the computer now is different due to a difference video card?

Did you setup your BIOS properly for the motherboard to run the hot put in video card? even even though it variety of feels that it is your OS that's inflicting the difficulty. Plus, considering you're in the laptop majors, there could be a professor that's keen to enable you with this difficulty. wish this helped. :)
