Welcoming speech for open class?

I am teaching at a school in China.
And I want to make an opening remark before the open class, in which the parents would come, like:

Good morning, parents who are here today. Thank you for coming.
Your children were excellent this semester. Now let's start the class.

I want a paragraph of speech that sounds more contentful and intelligent. Can someone help me to write this opening remark? You can add any content you wish. Thanks.
Deeply appreciated if you can help me.

When I taught for the Business and Professional Women's Organization, I had the opportunity to do a lot of public speaking. From what you have posted, you look as if you are in the middle of the school year, as we are in the States. So, how about:

Good morning parents. We are honored by your presence today. Your adults of tomorrow and I have worked together this semester and you can be very proud of their accomplishments. Today, they will have the opportunity to show you how well they have learned and worked together. Shall we begin?

Then, simply look at them and wait for a nod and start teaching.

It is built around the fact that Chinese work hard and have family honor to uphold. I hope this will help you out.

I wish you the best of luck with the short address to them.
