妮妲莉飾演芭蕾舞蹈員妮娜，單純、沉靜、默默耕耘，一直被母親過份沉溺的庇蔭下成長，人生唯一目標就是成為一位崇高的職業舞者。一天知名導演湯馬士（雲遜卡素）公開為新一季【天鵝湖】挑選新主角，消息一出妮娜等多位舞蹈員躍躍欲試，然而導演只對妮娜的美色虎視膽膽，一己私慾竟然漠視其他學生實力，高調地欽點她為女主角白天鵝。湯馬士相當急進，對妮娜的要求很高，要她對劇中對立角色黑天鵝也迎刃有餘，不斷用難堪的激將法鞭撻和教導，令她心力交瘁。

It is about a ballet dancer (Natalie Portman acts), who want to be the main actress in the show. She practise very hard in order to be the main actress. However, the actress has to perform to be both a 'good' swan and a 'bad' swan. She acted well for the 'good' swan but not for the 'bad' one. Also with other factors, like her family background, she gave herself too much pressure, leading to some mental disorder problem. She sometimes cannot figure out when is 'reality' or when is not. At last, she can act well for both the 'good' and 'bad' swan, but ......
