Your calculator has no problem.

First, it will not print ( x + 1 )( x - 2 ) as you mention. It will only print two values: 1 and -2 respectively. In such a case, it means these two numbers 1 and -2 are two required roots, and when you need to form the corresponding linear factors, they are ( x - 1 ) and ( x + 2 ). Hence, it has nothing wrong. The error comes from your misunderstanding of the answers printed from your calculator.

正確來說是Solve (x - 1)(x + 2) = 0, 得x = 1 or x = -2
因為你代回x = 1或x = -2, 都是等於0, 這證明x = 1 或x = -2 是該方程的根

而該program只會show你二次方程的根
並不會show因式分解的format...

因為佢顯示出黎果個係方程的根
例如佢顯示1,-2...係表示方程的根為x=1及x=-2,
所以方程因式分解應該係(x-1)(x+2)=0...
