Find the range of values of x for which the following series converge and find the sum to infinity.

Q1) 1+2x+4x^2+8x^3+......
Q2) (a+x)-1+(1/(a+x))-(1/(a+x)^2)+.....

Please show all workings.....

1) For x>0, the series converges to infinity

2) For 0 < x < 1 the series converges to infinity.
