Why settle for the good life, when you could have the best?

So right.

Many sell their inheritance for a fist full of nothing!

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

I have a great life. I was Christian at one point. I am glad I'm free of all the nonsense now.

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.



That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead ~~ which is to live by Christ's resurrection life here and now.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.



The best is to live by Christ's life and not our own old life, and that can only be attained through the cross that God offers.


And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.



Paul certainly thought so :

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

"Why settle for the good life, when you could have the best?"
Isn't greed a sin?

I understand why you think this, but personally, I would be selling myself short if I became a Christian.

I don't think Biblical morality is the best or even the right way to live my life. I prefer just being kind to people and focusing on what's real.
