By considering energy is given out due to mass defect in Nuclear Fusion ,where is the energy generated in Nuclear Fission come from ? (i.e.why energy can be given out in Nuclear Fission ,is there also involve mass defect ? THX A LOT!

The energy comes from the binding energy that is holding the nucleons within the nucleus.

A fission reaction occurs when a heavy nucleus slpits into ligher nucleii. In this process, because the number of nucleons in the lighter nucleus is smaller than the number in the original heavy nucleus, the excess binding energy is released as the fission energy.
