I thought Japan had one of the best technologies in the world, and they couldn't resolve this nuclear reactor problem now? What a disgrace. That countryis now putting everyone who lives on this planet at risk. Hiroshima, Nagasaki? now add Sendai.

1. Even if the plant has a leak it will not put everyone who lives on this planet at risk. It will put people who live in the area and maybe a little further but still contained in that country at risk.
2. And Hiroshima/Nagasaki was not Japan's fault, it was USA's fault, USA is who dropped the bombs.
3. The nuclear plant is not in Sendai.

LOL! Let's see if the buildings in your city will still be standing after a 8.9 earthquake. Last time I checked, all of Tokyo's buidings are still up.

Well aren't you on your high horse, get off for a while and join the common folk.

It is not easy to cool down nuclear plants, especially when BOTH back ups fail.

You can be the smartest country and prepare as much as you can but you can never win against mother nature. We are just man and not God.

I do give them alot of credit, though. They were able to withstand that strong earthquake... if this was in another country, there would be piles of rubble everywhere. Their buildings were earthquake proof. Also, I commend the people were staying so calm and collected and listening to the order of the prime minister. With SOME people (in any nationality), there could be crazies running around, starting drama and running around not obeying the government's orders but all citizens have their rights, right?

If your country was an Island that got hit by an 8.9 earthquake that cause Nuclear plant explosions you wouldn't really have much to do.

UH GEEZ MAYBE ITS BECAUSE A NATURAL DISASTER HAPPENED THUS THERE IS A POWER OUTAGE? SO BECAUSE OF THAT, ALL THE BACK UP GENERATORS ARE NOOOOOOT WORKING. It's not their fault.

Instead of being "disappointed" and complaining, why not try to help? People are DYING and you're here saying "Oh boy I'm sooo disappointed I thought Japan was soooo advanced."

There are no "risk-free" nuclear flowers. all of them are "injuries waiting to take place", by using fact as quickly as cooling of the gasoline rods stops, meltdown starts. it is particular to take place, faster or later, by using fact, radioactivity is unstoppable, whilst a cooling device demands ability, for all time. IOW, nuclear flowers are actually not fail-risk-free. to make useful this is going to take place, faster or later, the political agency needs to have the final be conscious. They recognize. sh.t yet they think of that they are able to boss around even the regulations of nature. they're all a set of criminals getting away with homicide. TEPCO, the supervisor of the Fukushima plant, has a properly documented historical past of ignoring protection recomendations from the IAEA. besides, the eastern government would not magnificent police and modify the flexibility marketplace. So, your unhappiness is the consequence of your lack of information. Like many others, you have been made to have faith that the eastern ought to stroll on water. a approaches from it. .

I spent last night listening to American footage of this tragedy, and at times their tone. . .um, disappointed me, to say the least.
For example, commenting on whether President Obama acted *sad enough*--WHO CARES. Or commenting on the fact that President Obama mentioned growing up in Hawaii -- NOT NEWSWORTHY.
. . . . .
