How do you say this english sentence in chinese?

"you should wear a jacket and a pair of long pants"

你应该穿上夹克和长裤子 or 你应该穿上外套和长裤子 . Eudocia Davis instead of Unknown is correct. In Chinese, counter words are not always necessary, or may even be redundant in certain situations. "一件" is redundant because normally you don't wear 2 jackets! :-)

Edit: On on is right. ^^ I guess in this case "穿上" was what I wrote differently.
