I was trying to go around a fedex truck that was parked in a unloading zone. before I could get around the truck in he starts moving ..he hit the front right side of bumper doing 3066.00 worth of damage. I don't want them to repair my car. I want the money so I can have the repairs done my self.
Will they write the check to me? I'm never been thur this before. Does anyone know? I live in Indiana if that makes any different.
whats are my rights? A fedex truck hit me.?

ask THEIR insurance company if they will write out the check directly to youor if they will pay the repair shop DIRECTLY...

The truck pulled out when the way was not clear, so it's their fault. Contact them with the amount it will cost for repairs, and file a claim with them.

Well first - sorry to hear about the loss of your dog, that's very sad. Whereas I can't comment on the negligence of FedEx drivers in your area, where I live I've never noticed a problem. Your assumption that your dog wouldn't get hurt/killed if the truck was going the speed limit though is definitely wrong though - have you ever walked into a door, pole, or wall by accident? Typical walking speeds are between 2-3 MPH - but it still hurt, right? People have broken noses and busted open cuts on faces/heads at that speed - now multiply it by perhaps 10 times? And that's just an impact assumption - if the trucks tire(s) went over the dog, the speed is irrelevant, it would have killed him/her, the weight is just too much. So it sounds like they do need to slow down in your neighborhood, but if you decide to get another dog somewhere down the road, please work hard to train him/her to stay out of the road. I lost a dog in a similar accident once, so I know how you feel. good luck
