Heat is a form of energy.

c = specific heat of a substance. Unit is (J/kg/degree C) It is a property of a substance.

C = heat capacity of a substance. The larger the mass of that substance, the greater is heat capacity. C = mc (mass x specific heat) unit is J/degree C

Pt= mcΔT / E=mcΔT / Pt = CΔ T???

P = power (unit is watt, W)
P = E/t .
t = time (unit is second, s)
m = mass of a substance (unit is kilogram, kg)
E = heat energy (unit is Joule, J)
ΔT = difference (or change) in temperature (unit is degree C)

P = (m/t)cΔT ??

Power, P, is defined as the amount of energy (J) generated or used up in one second)

This is :
heat gain by substance 1 = heat loss by substance 2

m1 = mass of substance 1
c1 = specific heat of substance 1
T = final temperature after mixing substance 1 and substance 2
T1 = initial temperature of substance 1
m2 = mass of substance 2
c2 = specific heat of substance 2
T2 = initial temperature of substance 2
Substance 1 可能是 water at room temperature, Substance 2 可能是燒紅copper

Heat有多公式, 還有conduction, convection and radiation, expansion, Newton’s Law of cooling….. etc.
