Make some effort or Make some efforts?

The question is simple, which one is correct?

I know the singular form of Make an effort, how about plural, please stick to my question. Make some effort or Make some efforts?

I can understand the concepts but if I were to use "make some" follow by "effort", would it be effort or efforts?

Here are some examples of how "make efforts" can be used correctly:


China is to make efforts for friendship.

Pak. must make efforts to lower temperature.

Asia (will/must) Make Efforts to Control Acid Rain.
