Pronounciation question, please help.?

Do you pronounce "is" as [iz], "his" as [hiz] all the time in your speech?
I tend to pronounce them as [is] and [his], am I wrong?
Also, he's a boy. Should this "s" here be pronounced as [s] or [z]? Thanks.

Also, sTudy, sTill, sTay, sTairs, sPeak, exPensive etc.
I can hardly hear the T sound or the P sound from other people, it sounds more like a D sound for the T, and a B sound for the P. So I tend to pronounce them like sDill sDay sBeak exBensive.
Am I the only one and am I wrong? Thanks. Deeply appreciated for your help!

Yes definitely like "iz" and "hiz", in my opinion. Otherwise "his" would sound like the word "hiss", which means something else entirely! For the study (etc) words, the "t" always sounds like a "t", for me.

You could compare with American English by using http://translate.google.com and using the Listen button.

You are wrong. Is is pronounced /iz/, his /hiz/, he's /hiz/. The rest is pronounced with T/P. But I can understand why you mix those up, in my language D and T are pairs by sound, and also B and P.

I'm pretty sure I say iz instead of isss. Ps I think I pronounce those correctly.
