1 how to use 'fast' as an adverb or adjective?

can anyone demonstrate it by using examples?

wrong : "Pat made his team lost the competition indeed."
right : "Pat made his team lose the competition indeed."
TEACHER COMMENT: made... lose(bare-inf) WHY???

wrong : "Terry was care about Pat's health more than the Champion at that instant."
right : "Terry cared about Pat's health..."
TEACHER COMMENT: no linking verb ... do "care" use as a verb only?

"Hong Kong is an international city, which is mixed of tranditional
values and crashed into the Gobalization."
Can anyone correct its mistake and keep the same meaning?!

Fast as an adverb is still "fast"

e.g. His watch is running fast.

The "fast" here describes the running, which is a verb, so "fast" is being used as an adverb here.

Fast as an adjective is still "fast"

e.g. a fast sport, a fast movement, a fast visit....

The "fast(s)" here describes a sport/ a movement/ a visit, which are nouns, so "fast" is being used as an adjective here.

wrong : "Pat made his team lost the competition indeed."
right : "Pat made his team lose the competition indeed."

The second one is correct because lose is used instead of lost. Yes, this sentence is in past tense, but that does not mean that all the verbs have to be in the past tense. The main verb has to be in past tense (i.e. MADE) but the following verb is suppose to be in the infinitive form (i.e. LOSE), therefore, the second one is correct.

wrong : "Terry was care about Pat's health more than the Champion at that instant."
right : "Terry cared about Pat's health..."
Care can be used as a noun as well as a verb but not as an adjective. Your sentence goes "Terry was.. (adj.)..." so the care is being used as an adjective to describe Terry. But this is wrong because care can not be used as an adjective. So the correct sentence should be "Terry cared...".

"Hong Kong is an international city, which is mixed of tranditional
values and crashed into the Gobalization."
Correct sentence should be:
Hong Kong is an international city which is a mix of traditional values and globalization.

Hope you understand English grammar better now!
