does 2,4-dinitropheylhydrazine react with acyl chlorides? i just know it is used to test ketones and aldehydes. does it really have no reactions with all carboxylic acid derivatives?

2,4-dinitropheylhydrazine will react with acyl chlorides, but do not react as it react with ketones and aldehydes. As the 2,4-dinitropheylhydrazine have a amine group, it would probably react with the acyl chlorides or other carboxylic acid derivatives top give a acid amide

hydrazine is a base similar to ammonia.
the carboxylic acid (and the more reactive species) may undergo acid-base reaction.
