which one is more useful for soccer stamina?

i am wondering which one of these method is more effective for soccer endurance?

doing many short sprints or long-distance running?

or should i do both?

Depends on your position. If you are forward, you would benefit from sprints, if you are a midfielder/halfback, then long distance and sprints are good. I would recommend doing both though.

I would recommend doing plyometrics for all of these except power, that will have to be done via weight training or eating certain foods that give you energy.

short distance will come with long distance. Ihave no idea if the other people answering even know a thing or two about soccer but take it from me, a Class A State Champion. DISTANCE. You can take a guess at how much running an average soccer player does but i can garuantee you that your wrong. They run about 7.5 miles a game. If you can run a half mile under 3 minutes and then 2.5 miles under 18 minutes then your fine.

It depends kinda..because both work different muscles and build different types of endurance. Therefore, they're both equally effective methods for building endurance. So, I'd say do both!

Im a forward so to me at least sprinting is way more important but both are really essential.
