Do not feel so frustrated and actually the problem may be very small.
It is likely the problem was arisen due to the incomplete download of the file or the file itself has bugs before loading.
1) In download a file for installation, even there is one byte that it does not download properly, it can make the whole software unable to function properly.
2) If the file itself has problems, then no matter how perfect your Windows 7 is, it cannot be functioned well.
I suggest you an easy approach:
Step 1: Uninstall it right now.
Step 2: Download again and install by repeating the procedure before.
