Has Stalin made the USSR more communist?

The USSR was Russia after it became communist. Lenin and Stalin and others made it communist. They did not make it MORE communist, because
1. before them it was not communist at all;
2. something either IS or IS NOT what it is. If it is communist, it cannot be made more-or-less communist, because it is communist.

And now the USSR does not exist anymore and Russia is Russian once again--and it is not communist. And Stalin does not exist anymore; he died in 1953.
