but除了可以作為連接詞外，它也可以作為副詞，當作為副詞，其中之一的意思和just, only差不多cambridge dictionary online就有一例
but adverb ( ONLY ) strong form /bʌt/ weak form /bət/ adv formal only; just She's but a young girl!
