A = ( 101 99 ) B=(101 99)
99 101 -99 101

Find cond(infinity)(A) and cond(infinity)(B)

(A and B are 2x2 matrices)

The infinity norm is obtained:
1. For each row add up the absolute values of the entries
2. Determine the maximum of the values obtained
For A, for the first row, the sum is 101+99=200
The same for second row, so the infinity norm = 200

For A^-1, first row 0.2525+0.2475 = 0.5
Same for second row, so infinity norm = 0.5
