A hemisphere and a cylinder of the same radius 1.5 cm.

21pi cm^3 of water is poured into the test-tube.

Find the depth of the water.

ULet d be the depth of the water :Hemisphere + cylinder = 21π(1/2) (4/3)π(1.5)³ + π(1.5)² (d - 1.5) = 21π .......................................Tips : The height of the cylinder = d - 1.5 cm(1/2) (4/3)(1.5)³ + (1.5)² (d - 1.5) = 21(1/2) (4/3) (3/2)³ + (3/2)² (d - 1.5) = 21(9/4) + (9/4)(d - 1.5) = 21(9/4)(1 + d - 1.5) = 21d - 0.5 = 28/3d = 59/6The depth pf the water = 59/6 cm.
