1) Solve the complex ineq. 1st.

10 [ ( 1 - x )/2 - ( 2x - 5 )/5 ] =< 11 + x
5( 1 - x ) - 2( 2x - 5 ) =< 11 + x
5 - 5x - 4x + 10 =< 11 + x
4 =< 10x
x >= 2/5 ---- (1)

2nd ineq: 6x + 3 < x + 8
5x < 5
x < 1 ----- (2)
Since you use "Or" when you combine (1)(2) together, the graph overlaps all portions of the horizontal number line.

Hence, all real numbers are solution

P.S.: If you use "And", the ans. is the intersecting region, which is

2/5 =< x < 1

2) Separate into 2 cases:

Case 1 ( x < 7 ):

2 - 6x < x - 7
9 < 7x
x > 9/7
Hence, 9/7 < x < 7

Case 2 ( x > 7 )

2 - 6x > x - 7
9 > 7x
x < 9/7 ( reg. for x > 7 )

Hence, the solution is 9/7 < x < 7
