How do I convert an image of text to workable text?

That can't be done, unless you have a scanner that includes OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software.

If so, print the image, then scan the printed page with OCR, as explained in the scanner's User manual.

If NOT, you'll have to manually type the image's text into Word.

that can not happen, not possible..it's an image you have to type what the image says by hand into your word document
