I would suggest you to check the survey results conducted by

1) HKU Chung Ting Yiu or
2) CUHK Wong Ka Ying

They are popular in conducting regular analysis on different social issues. Your topic is definitely one of their interest. To me, I think their sensitivity towards political issues would rise when there are some important pol. issued happened recently. Personally I think there is a chance to increase in 2011 because:

(a) the candidates looking for HKSAR Chief Executive post would gradually come out and announce their interest in election.

(b) there is District Board election at the end of 2011.
